Rose Quartz

rosequartz

Named after its color, it is often crackled , usually a little turbid

Details:

Crystals with flat faces have been found only in the last few years. Color can fade. Traces of included rutile needles cause six-rayed stars when cut en cabochon. Brazil is the largest supplier. The best quality comes from the Malagasy Republic. Worked into cabochons, bead necklaces and ornamental pieces, only the larger clear pieces can be faceted.
